Terms and Conditions

You must make us aware of all behavioural problems or medical issues affecting your dog before we start working with them. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation, without notice, of any service.

Dogs must be up-to-date with their vaccinations and you must have your dog’s vaccination record to show at your initial consultation. Dogs must also be up-to-date with flea and worm treatments.

All dogs must be microchipped, as required by the Microchipping of Dogs (England) Regulations 2015. Dogs must also be wearing an appropriate collar or harness with the owner’s name and address engraved, printed or written on it, or engraved, printed or written on an attached identity tag, as required by the Control of Dogs Order 1992.

Payment and cancellations

Should you cancel a session giving less than 48 hours’ notice, you may still be charged in full. Should we have to cancel a session for any reason other than those covered in these terms and conditions, we will agree an alternative or offer a full refund for that session. Should you fail to attend a session then no refund will be made, and the session will still be charged in full. Repeated failure to attend sessions may result in the cancellation of any service with no refund or offer of alternative.

Payment must be made in full before the start of your appointment. We accept payments by card, cash or bank transfer.

Training sessions and safety

All reasonable effort will be made to ensure that consultations and training sessions are run in a safe, skilled and professional manner. We treat all dogs with kindness and respect, and only use force-free, reward-based training methods.

When we are training you and your dog together

If you sign-up for Dog Training Instruction, you must understand that we won’t be training your dog – we’ll be training you to train your dog. Please understand that this will require a commitment from you to follow our instruction, dedicate sufficient time to practice and try your utmost to be consistent with your dog.

Owners are responsible for their dog at all times, and both you and your dog’s participation in our activities are entirely at your own risk. We do not accept any responsibility for any injury or loss – either of the dog, or of anyone attending the training. We advise that all owners have relevant insurance cover for liability in the event that their dog causes damage or injury to any property or third party.

You will keep your dog on a lead and under control at all times, unless otherwise directed by your trainer. You must follow instructions at all times, especially any safety instructions, and you must not use equipment when the trainer is not present.

When we are training your dog (and you are not with us)

We will ask you to provide emergency phone numbers and details of your usual vet. However, we will always endeavor to act in the best interest of your dog and reserve the right to take your dog to the nearest vet if we judge it necessary. In the event of an emergency we will attempt to contact the emergency numbers. Should they be unavailable we assert the right to make the decisions we believe to be in the best interests of the dog’s welfare. The owner accepts liability for any vet fees incurred. While we will always take the best of care with your dog, you agree that we cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death of any dog whilst in our care.

Dog welfare

Harsh handling or treatment will not be tolerated under any circumstances. We reserve the right to cease any session, or request any person to leave if they are act in any way we consider abusive to any other person or dog.

Session content

We reserve the right to change the content, timing, dates, venue or instructor for any course, session or appointment. We will not be held liable for any losses or expenses arising from amendments to the course, or cancellations. We reserve the right to decline, cancel or terminate any service or offer at any time.

Please note. We may take video or photographic images that include you or your dog. These images will remain our copyright and we may use them in publication or to promote our services, including (but not limited to) on our website or social media channels. If you are not happy with this, you must let us know before your first training session and we’ll do our best (but make no guarantee) to exclude you or your dog from any image or video.
